ALETHEA KONTIS HERO DOWNLOAD FREE

Sep 16, Karissa rated it really liked it. Just like Enchanted, HERO is built upon these familiar stories, but her overlying story and characters are entirely of her own creation. Their romance is more humerous and also more difficult than that of Sunday and her frog prince. I approached Hero with low expectations, only because there was no way it could possibly measure up to the genius that is Enchanted. I enjoyed this even more that the first book in this series.

FTF Book Review: Alethea Kontis – Hero

Although this book doesn't have many retelling of fairytales, at 2. But when she sets sail with her pirate sister Thursday she gets kidnapped and is taken to a mountain on the top of the world and forced to complete tasks set forth to her by an evil witch. Sometimes it seemed like there was maybe even too much happening at once, but then things would calm down for just a moment so we as readers could sort things out and catch a breath before the next adventure.

The contrast between her and Sunday is eno I approached Hero with low expectations, only because there was no way it could possibly measure up to the genius that is Enchanted. At one point during a copyedit of EnchantedI was forced to change the age of Prince Rumbold, which then changed a lot of the timing references throughout the story.

Huh, wasn't expecting that! Notify me of new comments via email.

Hero by Alethea Kontis

I love the way she writes. The main characters have to use their brains and brawn to fight an evil witch if they want to survive konits the end of this story.

And naturally, of course, I hate the waiting! A Fabulous Boy and His Sandwich. I didn't like this book.

Rough and tumble Saturday Woodcutter thinks she's the only one of her sisters without any magic—until the day she accidentally conjures an ocean in the backyard. I always have loved art and I hope to have a career that involves art! The next book is Friday's, who was absent during this one because she's taken on her apprenticeship. Saturday wasn't expecting much from life, but then when her mother's sister and Trix's real mother dies, her mother was all set to go and see her sisters for the first time in years.

At least it's the story of another of the sisters, and not a continuation of the last book. I'll definitely be checking into those as soon as I possibly can.

When I get my rights back for EnchantedHeroand Dearesthere is the plan:. She is ambitious and even when she's annoying, she's still endearing. Although this is the second in a series, it could also make a fine standalone book, even though I strongly suggest reading the first, not only to understand some things they mention in Hero but also because Enchanted is equally as amazing as Hero.

I loved the idea of the witch using the raven's eyes to see, specifically. I got a copy of this book to review through the Amazon Vine program. Saturday, chopping wood all day and generally enjoying fighting lessons over the traditionally feminine pastimes, has aletha stronger qlethea that makes it easy to think she may be a boy. Although this book doesn't have many retelling of fairytales, at least not much I know, Saturday's adventure to become a hero is more appealing to me.

But what about the boys? Lists with This Book. This one had a very fresh vibe to it because the heroine wields a sword, is referred to as a "giantess," and of a very athletic body. Apr 01, Jenna Bookiemoji rated it it was amazing. Especially writing about mirrors. Peregrine is our hero. I think in a way, as a full story Enchanted is still a bit better than this one.

Magic mirrors, enchanted swords, sleeping spells, evil witches, and a dragon?
